Artist's Statement:
My artwork consists of representational drawings, paintings. and prints inspired in the most part by the natural beauty of the Catskills. I strive to capture the energy and light of the day and to create a feeling of place. My art often invokes the quiet solitude of rural life.
Watercolor is by far my favorite medium. I love the look of transparent pigment and the feeling of a brush in my hand. It allows for direct and immediate expression. I also love the spontaneity and lack of control inherent in the medium.
